What a wild variety of weather much of the country will see this weekend. Tropical Storm Karen is forecast to move inland near the western Florida Panhandle Sunday morning.
Meanwhile Blizzard Warnings are in effect for northeastern Wyoming, northwestern Nebraska, and southwestern South Dakota for today into tomorrow. 20+ inches of snow could fall in some of these areas. If the WRF computer model (depicted above) is to be believed some of these folks are going to see much more snow than this.
Severe thunderstorms will break out over parts of the upper Midwest today bringing with them the threat of strong damaging tornadoes.

Locally we are still on track to see a strong cold front plow southward into the area tonight. Most of southeastern New Mexico will not get out of the 60's tomorrow for afternoon highs. Sunday morning lows will be flirting with the freezing mark in a few spots. Strong gusty northerly winds will accompany the frontal passage tonight along with areas of blowing dust.
