T-Storms Dump Heavy Rain.

Scattered afternoon t-storms dumped locally heavy rainfall across a few spots in SE NM yesterday afternoon. Reports from the US Forest Service indicate that around 2" of rain fell over parts of the "Dinner Fire Complex" in Dark Canyon, south of Queen.

Hobbs received its first measurable rainfall of the year yesterday with .48" reported at the (KM5BS) Personal Weather Station, located on the northwest side of the town. And on the south side of town, the Personal Weather Station (KF5KMC) recorded .43".

The Midland International Airport recorded more rain from a t-storm yesterday afternoon (.38") than they have recorded all year (.18"). The Odessa Schlemeyer Airport recorded 1.18" of rain.
