Arctic Air Poised To Enter NM.

At noontime the arctic cold front was poised to move into Northwestern New Mexico. Temperatures around the state at 1 PM MST, ranged from 36 at Taos, 37 at Farmington, 39 at Gallup, to 75 at Carlsbad. 

To give you an idea of just how cold this approaching arctic airmass is, most reporting stations in Montana, at 1 PM MST, have temps that range from -10 to around 10

Southwesterly winds have been kicking up as predicted. As of 1 PM MST the following gusts have been recorded.

Guadalupe Pass 58 mph
Bowl Raws 1/2 Mile North of Guadalupe Peak 58 mph
Sierra Blanca Regional Airport 54 mph
Queen Raws 48 mph
Artesia Airport 46 mph
McKittrick Canyon Raws 45 mph
Mescal Raws - Near Mescalero 43 mph
Smokey Bear Raws Near Ruidoso 43 mph
Dunken Raws 43 mph
2 SW Tatum 42 mph
Mayhill Raws 41 mph
