Cannon AFB Radar is picking up a few pockets of very light snow (Mostly aloft I think at this time) near Santa Rosa, southwest of Artesia, and southwest of Corona. Interestingly enough the computer forecast models above project light snow developing over the Sacramento, Capitan, and Guadalupe Mountains early this evening. Gradually spreading out over parts of the southeastern plains later tonight into late tomorrow night. If the models are correct we may see an inch or so accumulations in the mountains with lesser amounts across Chaves and Eddy Counties. This mornings 18Z run of the NAM/WRF model also keeps us in the deep freeze tomorrow with highs in the low-mid 30's.
