Why Are My Weather Posts Missing From Facebook.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that my Facebook page was shut down without any warning by Facebook this past Saturday, June 8th. All I was told was that I had violated their community standards. I don't know what triggered that; they didn't tell me. I was told this may be permanent or for six months.
My guess is that it may be because I posted several comments and articles from my Substack page about the riots in LA, and that must have triggered/angered someone, and they complained, thus Facebook shut me down. I don't know this as fact, though. I have appealed this decision, and I'm still waiting for their reply. I have read on X that this has happened to other Facebook users posting about the LA riots as well.
I always share my weather blog posts (that I post here) on my Facebook page and my X page. This included over twelve different New Mexico and West Texas Facebook Community sites. So there are thousands of you out there (based on my views and shares of those posts) who will no longer see those posts. My Facebook page may or may not be restored.
This is another good reason (as the National Weather Service often reminds us) to have multiple ways of receiving severe weather alerts when severe weather threatens your location. My weather web page is one of those ways, and I really appreciate all of you who have and still do use it. Thank you so much!!!
If my Facebook page is restored, I will continue to share my weather blog posts and some of the NWS Watches and Warnings...as I have been doing for years now.

Cold & Snow Today!

Winter Again In New Mexico.

Forecast Temperatures @ 5 PM MST Today.

Radar Snapshots.

Winter Weather Across Much Of NM Today.

Snowfall Forecasts.

Carlsbad, NM.

Hobbs, NM.

Heavy snow has already fallen across the northern New Mexico mountains. 8" of the white stuff has already accumulated 11 miles northwest of Canon Plaza which is east of Tierra Amarilla.

Radar at 5 AM MST this morning shows a large area of snow (with rain over the lower elevations of central NM) moving southeast through the state. This is in response to an upper level disturbance headed southeastward out of the Great Basin towards the state.Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories cover a good deal of New Mexico early this morning.

A Winter Storm Warning continues in effect for the southern Sacramento mountains for today. Near Blizzard conditions are forecast in the Cloudcroft area with up to 8" of snow forecast above 7,500'.

Chaves County is under a Winter Weather Advisory today and Roswell is now forecast to get 1" - 3" of snow with up to 6" in the mountains of Chaves County.

Yet another strong arctic cold front barreled into southeastern New Mexico after midnight last night. Most of us will see our afternoon high temperatures only in the 20's and 30's today. Snow will move into the area this morning and currently is forecast to end by tonight. Artesia, Hobbs, and Carlsbad may see up to an inch or two of snowfall out of this storm. That is if the approaching storm to our northwest does not dig further south than is currently forecast. Then this would mean that we could possibly get more snow which could last into Monday. Will be a close call. Monday morning low temps are forecast to be in the teens!.
