Thunderstorms & Cooler Temps Friday.

Valid @ 6 PM MDT Friday.

Valid @ Noon MDT Saturday.

A pattern change is coming starting Friday as a closed mid-level low parks itself west of California and ejects several disturbances our way into the weekend. A weak cold front will help provide additional lift and low-level moisture and cooler temps Friday with highs in the 60's to near 70. Clouds will increase and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will dot the landscape Friday afternoon. A few of these storms may produce moderate rainfall amounts.

As the closed low opens up and moves eastward the dryline is forecast to set up over the area Sunday afternoon and evening. This will be the focus for more thunderstorms across southeastern New Mexico and West Texas. A few of which may become severe.

The Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction!
