Why Are My Weather Posts Missing From Facebook.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that my Facebook page was shut down without any warning by Facebook this past Saturday, June 8th. All I was told was that I had violated their community standards. I don't know what triggered that; they didn't tell me. I was told this may be permanent or for six months.
My guess is that it may be because I posted several comments and articles from my Substack page about the riots in LA, and that must have triggered/angered someone, and they complained, thus Facebook shut me down. I don't know this as fact, though. I have appealed this decision, and I'm still waiting for their reply. I have read on X that this has happened to other Facebook users posting about the LA riots as well.
I always share my weather blog posts (that I post here) on my Facebook page and my X page. This included over twelve different New Mexico and West Texas Facebook Community sites. So there are thousands of you out there (based on my views and shares of those posts) who will no longer see those posts. My Facebook page may or may not be restored.
This is another good reason (as the National Weather Service often reminds us) to have multiple ways of receiving severe weather alerts when severe weather threatens your location. My weather web page is one of those ways, and I really appreciate all of you who have and still do use it. Thank you so much!!!
If my Facebook page is restored, I will continue to share my weather blog posts and some of the NWS Watches and Warnings...as I have been doing for years now.

No Snow For Christmas In SE NM This Year - But Snow Tonight.

Blog Updated @ 11:10 AM MST This Morning.

Warm & Windy Today - Colder Snow Tonight.

A powerful upper level storm will continue to dig southeastward into Colorado and New Mexico today into tonight. Although the center of the storm will be centered over Kansas and Oklahoma on Tuesday New Mexico will make a quick return back to winter this afternoon into tomorrow morning.

High temperatures across the local area today will be in the upper 60's to the low 70's ahead of an approaching strong cold front. Due to abundant mid and high level cloud cover overnight, and dry downsloping northwesterly winds, a very mild night temperature-wise occurred overnight. My low temp here in Carlsbad was a mild 59F.

Northwesterly winds gusted between 30-50 mph over much of the local area yesterday afternoon into the overnight hours. Gusts to 60 mph were noted in the Guadalupe Pass area. Similar winds are forecast for today.

No Snow For Christmas This Year In SE NM.

A fast moving winter storm along with a strong cold front will enter southeastern New Mexico around midnight or shortly afterwards tonight. Light rain is expected to change over to light snow before sunrise tomorrow morning. At this time due to the recent mild temperatures and warm ground conditions on trace amounts to less than an inch of snow are forecast for the southeastern plains.

Our high temperatures on Tuesday are currently forecast to only be in the upper 30's to the mid 40's

The rain and snow showers are forecast to end by noontime tomorrow with clearing skies. Forecast low temperatures Wednesday morning range from 10F at Cloudcroft to near 20F in the Pecos Valley.

I think there may a few surprises with this fast moving winter storm. As it approaches the state it continues to strengthen...so don't be too surprised if some of us see a little more snow than is currently forecast.

Northern and Central New Mexico remain under a Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory. A Blizzard Warning remains in effect for the Southwestern San Juan Mountains of Southern Colorado. This includes the communities of Ridgway, Glade Park, Silverton, Rico, and Hesperus. 4" - 8" of snow is forecast along with northwesterly winds of 25-35 mph with gusts to 80 mph above 8,000'. Which will create Blizzard Conditions with visibility's below 1/4 of a mile.

Northeastern and Eastern New Mexico remain under a Winter Weather Advisory. The Clovis and Portales areas are expecting 1" - 3" of snow tonight into tomorrow morning. North to northeasterly winds of 20-30 mph with gusts to 40 mph will cause areas of blowing snow. Similar conditions are forecast for the Ruidoso area. I suspect that Ski Apace will pick up a little more snow than this...perhaps closer to 4" to 8" if the storm digs far enough south.
