An automated Texas Mesonet DD6 Alert Rain Gauge located 4 miles north-northeast of Hamshire in Jefferson County Texas, southwest of Beaumont, is reporting a 24-hour total of 33.58" of rainfall as of 6:10 AM CDT this morning. 25.75" of that fell in the past 12-hours!

A complex of thunderstorms is just sitting over Jefferson County unloading on them. This is remnant tropical moisture from former Tropical Storm Imelda.
