Its pretty easy to tell where the cold front was located at 5 PM. Temperatures across southeastern New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma were in the 70's, while temps across northern Montana were already down into the teens and single digits.

A large plume of blowing dust had developed over northern Mexico, southwest of El Paso and was extending northeast into southern New Mexico, southeastern New Mexico, and west Texas.
