Wet Microburst Produces Damages In Carlsbad, NM - July 4th, 2022.

(2:09 PM MDT July 4th, 2022). A pulse-type thunderstorm developed just south of Carlsbad on the 4th of July. This storm formed quickly and dissipated quickly. As it rolled over the southern end of town and into central Carlsbad it produced very heavy rainfall. From the reports that I could find storm totals were around a half of an inch of rain in about 15-20 minutes. This caused minor street flooding in parts of Carlsbad.
