Temps & Temps Anomalies @ 4 PM MST Today.   Reported High Temperatures Today. Davis Vantage Pro2 High/Low Temps Today. Yet another very balmy and beautiful day across New Mexico. Typically not the way we want to end November with high temperatures some 10 - 20 degrees above normal for the date. Not to worry a big drop in temps is coming Monday especially across the eastern one half of the state. Forecast Temps @ 7 AM MST Monday. As of 5 PM this evening the southward moving backdoor arctic cold front had passed Clayton in northeastern New Mexico which was reporting a temperature of 31F and dropping. The leading edge of this arctic airmass will be entering the northern sections of southeastern New Mexico just after midnight tonight. Temps & Temp Anomalies @ 3 PM MST Today. Reported High Temperatures Today. (As Of 4 PM MST). Davis WeatherLink High/Low Temps Today. Temperatures across the eastern one half of New Mexico were some 15-25 degrees above normal again this afternoon. Note the high temperature of 81F at Alfadale (Atoka - 6 miles south of Artesia), and my high of 80F here at our home in Carlsbad. Sunday's afternoon high temps will be close to today's readings...about five degrees cooler. Note the temperatures just across the US and Canadian border north of the arctic cold front...as low as -15F . This next arctic cold front is slated to arrive in southeastern New Mexico by Monday morning. It looks like most of us will not get out of the 40's Monday afternoon. Temps & Temp Anomalies @ 4 PM MST Today. Max Temps Observed Today. High/Low Temp @ Our Home Today. As you may have noticed today was rather warm across New Mexico. A rather unusual high of 81F was noted at the Tucumcari Airport this afternoon. Today's highs were some 10-25 degrees above normal across the eastern one half of the state. Although my Davis Vantage Pro2 home weather station recorded a high temp today of 75F its a far cry from the record high temp in Carlsbad on this date of 85F set back in 1903. Similar readings are anticipated across southeastern New Mexico Saturday and Sunday. A few locations could reach or top 80-degrees on Saturday.  A Slap Back Into Reality Monday. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts because it won't last.
