Why Are My Weather Posts Missing From Facebook.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that my Facebook page was shut down without any warning by Facebook this past Saturday, June 8th. All I was told was that I had violated their community standards. I don't know what triggered that; they didn't tell me. I was told this may be permanent or for six months.
My guess is that it may be because I posted several comments and articles from my Substack page about the riots in LA, and that must have triggered/angered someone, and they complained, thus Facebook shut me down. I don't know this as fact, though. I have appealed this decision, and I'm still waiting for their reply. I have read on X that this has happened to other Facebook users posting about the LA riots as well.
I always share my weather blog posts (that I post here) on my Facebook page and my X page. This included over twelve different New Mexico and West Texas Facebook Community sites. So there are thousands of you out there (based on my views and shares of those posts) who will no longer see those posts. My Facebook page may or may not be restored.
This is another good reason (as the National Weather Service often reminds us) to have multiple ways of receiving severe weather alerts when severe weather threatens your location. My weather web page is one of those ways, and I really appreciate all of you who have and still do use it. Thank you so much!!!
If my Facebook page is restored, I will continue to share my weather blog posts and some of the NWS Watches and Warnings...as I have been doing for years now.

Wild & Windy Yesterday - Blustery Today.

RTMA Temperatures @ 4 AM MST This Morning.

A wild day yesterday weather-wise. Blizzard conditions in northeastern Colorado, and overnight in northeastern New Mexico.  Severe thunderstorms produced damaging winds, large hail, and even a couple of long track large tornadoes in the Texas Panhandle. Peak wind gusts in the local area were impressive as well. Today will be blustery and cooler. Wind Advisories continue in effect for the local area.

As of  5 AM MST This Morning.

I had a thunderstorm yesterday afternoon at the Red Hills Gas Plant located 21 miles west-northwest of Jal in Lea County. We had very heavy rain and pea size hail off and on for 30 minutes.

Click on the link above to see yesterday's severe weather reports...there are a lot of them.

Reported Peak Wind Gusts As Of 5 AM MST This Morning.

A strong Pacific cold front blew eastward across New Mexico yesterday afternoon. With it came some very strong westerly wind gusts. The strongest was 97 mph at the automated weather station located in San Augustine Pass in the Organ mountains east of Las Cruces. The automated weather station at the Carlsbad Caverns National Park Headquarters (Bat Draw) recorded a gust to 77 mph. The automated weather station located just north of Guadalupe Peak in the Bowl (Bowl Raws) reported a peak gust of 77 mph. Guadalupe Pass also had very high winds but the wind equiptment quit reporting for some reason.

A Blizzard Warning continues in effect for northeastern New Mexico until 5 PM MST this afternoon. Close to a foot of new snow could fall near the Colorado state line with whiteout conditions.

Severe thunderstorms will once again break out from eastern Texas northeastward into the south-central US. Tornadoes are again on the hazard list.

New Mexico Snowfall Reports.
