Storm Prediction Center Severe Weather Outlook Today.
A rough day is in store for Tornado Alley today. A major outbreak of severe weather is anticipated in the areas shaded in red and pink on the top map above. Strong, long track, fast moving tornadoes are forecast in these areas. A few of these tornadoes could possibly be large EF4's or EF5's. There is the potential for a tornado outbreak today, with the possibility of a few strong to possibly violent tornadoes affecting the area. This is a very dangerous potentially life threatening situation!
