Ski Apache - Sierra Blanca Peak In The Fall. (Oct 19th, 2019).
Passing through the Hondo valley between Roswell and Ruidoso on our way up to Ruidoso and then Ski Apache. Aspens in full color on Ski Run road just before we arrived at Ski Apache. See more via these links... here , here , and here . True to New Mexico fall weather our trip up the mountain this past Saturday was absolutely beautiful. It was a little breezy on top but not a cloud one in the sky. The deep blue hue of New Mexico's fall skies contrasted very well with the deep golden aspens with their near snow white trunks, and the shadows on the mountain. Peaceful, beautiful, tranquil even with the burnt tree damage. Soon winter will overtake the mountain transforming it into a winter wonderland. The Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction - And Sometimes ...
