Why Are My Weather Posts Missing From Facebook.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that my Facebook page was shut down without any warning by Facebook this past Saturday, June 8th. All I was told was that I had violated their community standards. I don't know what triggered that; they didn't tell me. I was told this may be permanent or for six months.
My guess is that it may be because I posted several comments and articles from my Substack page about the riots in LA, and that must have triggered/angered someone, and they complained, thus Facebook shut me down. I don't know this as fact, though. I have appealed this decision, and I'm still waiting for their reply. I have read on X that this has happened to other Facebook users posting about the LA riots as well.
I always share my weather blog posts (that I post here) on my Facebook page and my X page. This included over twelve different New Mexico and West Texas Facebook Community sites. So there are thousands of you out there (based on my views and shares of those posts) who will no longer see those posts. My Facebook page may or may not be restored.
This is another good reason (as the National Weather Service often reminds us) to have multiple ways of receiving severe weather alerts when severe weather threatens your location. My weather web page is one of those ways, and I really appreciate all of you who have and still do use it. Thank you so much!!!
If my Facebook page is restored, I will continue to share my weather blog posts and some of the NWS Watches and Warnings...as I have been doing for years now.

Very Cold This Morning.

Elmo is not a happy camper this morning.
He says its way too cold in New Mexico.

Queen, NM Monday Morning.

Our first bout with winter will be today as our skies begin to clear. It will be cold though with afternoon high temperatures forecast to range from the upper 20's to near 32 across the southeastern plains of New Mexico. Warmer temps are forecast for Wednesday with highs in the 50's likely.

A dry cold front will get shoved southward into the area late Thursday night by a fast moving clipper type upper-level storm, that will be diving southward out of Canada, and into the Central Plains. Our highs Friday and Saturday will be in the 40's. Long-range models indicate that our next potential winter storm may affect the state by around the first to middle of next week as another large upper-level trough of low pressure dives into the Desert Southwest.

Ski Apache, as is usually is the case, was the big winner for local snowfall totals with 11". This brings their season snowfall total to 31". Some of the other heavier snowfall totals reported include 7.2" ESE of Clovis, 1 mile S of Capitan 6", 1 mile NW of Roswell 4.6", West side of Roswell 4.5", and 4" in Artesia, I measured a storm total of 2.7" of snowfall here at my home in Carlsbad, with 1.5" on the ground at 6 AM this morning. Most of my snowfall melted as it fell, and at times was mixed with rain, and sleet. Additional snowfall totals will be added as they become available today.
