Nothing More Beautiful Than The Desert Blanketed With Snow!

So far I have measured 3.0" of snowfall at my home in Carlsbad, NM today. I have 2.5" on the ground as of 5:30 PM. This melted down to a liquid equivalent of .23".

Artesia just got a dusting today but my granddaughter approved.


 Winter Storm Warnings continue in effect for Eddy, Culberson, Otero Counties as well as for parts of southern New Mexico. Winter Weather Advisories cover much of the rest of the area including Chaves and Lincoln Counties and much of west Texas.

Storm total snowfall amounts in parts of southeastern New Mexico may be up to 10"

  1. Sounds great for all, your dust to your granddaughter! I still remember the time we got enough snow in Belgium as a little boy, when I made a snow man.
