Why Are My Weather Posts Missing From Facebook.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that my Facebook page was shut down without any warning by Facebook this past Saturday, June 8th. All I was told was that I had violated their community standards. I don't know what triggered that; they didn't tell me. I was told this may be permanent or for six months.
My guess is that it may be because I posted several comments and articles from my Substack page about the riots in LA, and that must have triggered/angered someone, and they complained, thus Facebook shut me down. I don't know this as fact, though. I have appealed this decision, and I'm still waiting for their reply. I have read on X that this has happened to other Facebook users posting about the LA riots as well.
I always share my weather blog posts (that I post here) on my Facebook page and my X page. This included over twelve different New Mexico and West Texas Facebook Community sites. So there are thousands of you out there (based on my views and shares of those posts) who will no longer see those posts. My Facebook page may or may not be restored.
This is another good reason (as the National Weather Service often reminds us) to have multiple ways of receiving severe weather alerts when severe weather threatens your location. My weather web page is one of those ways, and I really appreciate all of you who have and still do use it. Thank you so much!!!
If my Facebook page is restored, I will continue to share my weather blog posts and some of the NWS Watches and Warnings...as I have been doing for years now.

Warming Up This Week.

First of all I have made some changes to my blog layout. I have introduced the "page break" feature which allows me to present a brief preview or snippet of my daily blogs on my main web page instead of the whole blog. Not to worry, because you will still be able to view my entire daily blogs in their full content. Simply click on the "read more" link at the bottom left hand column of each daily blog snippet, and this will re-direct you to the full blog of that day. This will also allow me to keep the last 10 blogs or so visible that I have posted on my main web page.

Take a look at the "Blog Archive" section located in the right hand side bar located near the bottom of the main web page. I have changed the layout of this section also. Now you can click on any of the dates listed to view the blog or blogs that I posted for that particular date.

For those of you who are only interested in daily blogs, and not the full web page, you can view them via these links-

I started this blog in the fall of 2007. From 2007 until June 1, 2010 I had 157,000 views of my web page according to sitemeter. On June 1, 2010 I added the blogger visitor tracker, and as of this 10:50 AM this morning, I have had 210,462 views of my web page since June 1, 2010. So I've had 367,462 views of my web page since I first started it in the fall of 2007. That's pretty cool. Thank you for your visits and views...I appreciate your interest in what I am posting!
