Three More Days Of Severe Weather Coming Up.

Storm Prediction Center Severe Weather Outlook Monday.

Storm Prediction Center Severe Weather Outlook Tuesday.

Three More Days Of Severe Weather Coming Up.

A stagnant mid-upper level pattern with a trough of low pressure to our west will keep thunderstorms coming today through at least Tuesday. Our broken weather record now has no off button at least for a couple more days.

Scattered thunderstorms will once again form each afternoon and persists into the nighttime hours. Large hail, damaging thunderstorm wind gusts in excess of 60 mph, frequent deadly cloud to ground lightning, and locally heavy rainfall and located flash flooding will occur. Any supercell thunderstorm that forms will produce the worst weather including the possibility of a few tornadoes here and there.

NWS Midland Radar Estimated Rainfall.
(As Of 3 AM MDT Sunday, June 2, 2019).

Radar was estimating that 3" to 6" of may have fallen south and southeast of Malaga in southern Eddy County form Saturday's thunderstorms which continue at this hour. This may be overdone due to large hail contaminating the radar returns. It will be interesting to see if we get any local ground truth rainfall reports from that area today.
