Bundle Up For Tonight's Football Games - Strong Cold Front Headed South.

WRF/NAM Temperature Forecast @ 9 PM MDT Tonight.

WRF/NAM Temperature Forecast @ 7 AM MDT Saturday.

WRF/NAM Temperature Forecast @ 3 PM MDT Saturday.

A strong cold front will blow southward through the local area late this afternoon and early this evening. Northerly winds sustained at around 20 - 30 mph with higher gusts will accompany the frontal passage. Falling temperatures combined with the strong gusty winds will make for one chilly evening across southeastern New Mexico and west Texas. For all of you who are planning on attending our local football games...bundle up.

A Freeze Watch has been issued for southeastern New Mexico, eastern New Mexico, and parts of west Texas for late tonight into early Saturday morning. Our low temperatures Saturday morning are forecast to dip down into the upper 20's to near the freezing mark...thus our first light freeze is anticipated.

Sunny skies, light winds, with temps in the 60's will make for a beautiful Saturday. Sunday's highs will climb up into the upper 70's to the low 80's. Another cold front will move into the area on Monday thus knocking our highs back down into the 60's,

The Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction!
