A Lucky Few Had Heavy Rain Monday.

July 2nd, 2018.

I took the photo above from the Carlsbad Wal Mart parking lot. Looking back to the south and southwest at a thunderstorm with Cumulonimbus Mammatus Clouds. Heavy rains fell to the south and southwest of Carlsbad from this thunderstorm.

(As Of 8 AM MDT Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018).

Radar estimated that around 2.10" of rain fell east of Carlsbad and 2.30" just west of Hobbs. A remote automated weather station recorded 1.07" of rain just northwest of Hobbs. Seminole, Texas was hit with 2.76" of rain yesterday afternoon. Once again most of Southeastern New Mexico west of the Pecos River missed out. We had sprinkles here at our home in northwest Carlsbad.

The Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction!
