New Daily Record High Temps Set Monday-
(Click On The Charts To Enlarge Them.)

Blistering heat covered southeastern New Mexico and west Texas yesterday afternoon. The Carlsbad Climate Coop Station reached 110 for a high as did the Paduca Raws, which is located southeast of Carlsbad near the WIPP Site.

I recorded a high of 109 here at my home in Carlsbad on my Davis Vantage Pro2 personal weather station. The Carlsbad Airport ASOS also reached 109. 108 was noted at the Roswell Airport ASOS, the Roswell Climate Coop Station, and the 8-Mile Draw Raws northeast of Roswell, as well as at the Jal Climate Coop Station.

The Caprock Raws hit 107, as did the Artesia Climate Coop Station. The Artesia Airport HCN Station recorded 106 as did the Hobbs Airport ASOS. The Tatum Climate Coop Station reached 105, as did the Hope Climate Coop Station. The Artesia Airport AWOS reached 104. The Carlsbad Caverns Climate Coop Station recorded a high of 103.

You know its hot when the McKittrick Canyon Raws hits 101, the Guadalupe Pass ASOS 99, the Dunken Raws 99, the Queen Raws 97, the Pine Springs Raws 96, the Elk Climate Coop Station reaches 95, the Mayhill Raws 92, Weed DRO 91, the Smokey Bear Raws at Ruidoso 90, as well as the Sierra Blanca Regional Airport, and the Mescal Raws near Mescalero.

The Ruidoso Climate Coop Station recorded 89, and the Cloudcroft Climate Coop Station checks in with a high of 82, and at an elevation of 9,255' the Sacramento Peak Raws 80.

Now doubt a few new daily record high temperatures were set yesterday, and I will post them here later today when they become available. Today will be another hot one but our afternoon highs are forecast to be a couple of degrees lower than yesterday's readings.
