Hot In Southeast New Mexico The Next Two Days.

Today is just going to be nothing short of down right hot. Forecast high temperatures today across southeastern New Mexico will be in the 104 - 108 range. Tuesday will be hot also but not quite as hot as today with highs forecast to range from 100 - 105. Slightly cooler temps are forecast for the rest of the week with highs generally in the mid 90's.

Will We See Rain Late This Week?

A mid-level trough of low pressure is forecast to move inland over the Lower Texas Gulf Coast by the middle of this week. If this feature is able to move far enough to the north later this week, it may increase our chances of seeing some rainfall here in southeastern New Mexico and parts of west Texas.

Our attention will shift to the Bay of Campeche by later this week. A tropical wave entering that area of the Gulf of Mexico will have some potential to develop. Will it become a tropical storm, and if so, where is it headed? Lots of questions this morning with few answers this early in the game. More on this via this link- Tropics Heating Up.
