Get ready New Mexico...another blast of frigid air from the arctic is headed our way later next week. The models are all over the place concerning this next storm so the details are up for grabs for now. The European has been trending deeper and further south with the upper-level trough, which would indicate a better chance for more snow for the state if this trend continues and verifies.

A very cold arctic airmass is headed south once again. Temps across the central Rockies are forecast to bottom out Thursday morning somewhere in the neighbor hood of -35F. temps ahead of the front Thursday afternoon in the local area will be near 70F, behind the front temps will be below zero to our north.

Its possible that the arctic front may arrive as early as Wednesday. More on this later.
