Two Low Precipitation Supercell thunderstorms (LP Supercells) dropped lots of quarter size hail on the south end of Carlsbad and in the Otis area around 7 PM MDT last Thursday afternoon. A few reports of ping pong to golf ball size hail were also noted. Quarter size hail fell in the McNew Subdivision area at 8:00 MDT also.
