Afternoon Thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms erupted over Southeastern New Mexico and West Texas this afternoon. I took the photos above along and south of the New Mexico and Texas State line near and south of U.S. Hwy 62/180 southwest of Carlsbad, New Mexico. This dry arid county comes to life during a wet summer and is amazingly beautiful when the rains are bountiful and widespread as has been the case of late.

The Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction!
