Carlsbad Rainbows - 8-15-2017.

A Severe Thunderstorm moved just to the north of Carlsbad late this afternoon. I took off chasing it and got into some 60 mph wind gusts at 7:17 PM MDT, 6 miles north of Lake Avalon. Some minor flooding occurred in the bar ditches on Lake Rd when they overflowed in the low spots on the road and flooded the dips. Never did get into the hail core because by the time I got under the storm the core had moved east of my location. Anyway I got some pretty nice photos of the storms rainbows as it gusted out and headed to the northeast of Carlsbad.
