Both The Las Conchas Fire SW Of Los Alamos, And
The Pacheco Near The Santa Fe Ski Basin, Had
Merged Into One Large Smoke Plume.

This has already been an incredible year in New Mexico. Wildfires have been rampant, the exceptional drought just keeps getting worse with time, and now unrelenting heat. More on the heat below.

Around 1 PM MDT yesterday afternoon, the Las Conchas fire developed about 12 miles southwest of Los Alamos. The fire has exploded to 43, 597 acres as of 9:30 AM this morning.
