T-Storms Fire Up Along NM's Mtn's.

T-Storms Fire Up Along The Mtn's.

This afternoons crop of thunderstorms fired up along the Sacramento Mountains earlier this afternoon. One of which promoted a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, and a Small Stream Flood Advisory for the Mayhill area.

Scattered thunderstorms have developed along the spine of the Guadalupe Mtn's, and have been moving very little as of 5:30 PM MDT. A few of these may drift out onto the Eddy County plains later this evening, or possibly a few new storms may develop near the Carlsbad and Artesia areas.

It appears that after tonight, our chances of seeing additional rainfall across the area will dwindle, as a ridge of high pressure shuts down our current activity. A hot week is on tap next week with our afternoon high temps forecast to range from the mid 90's on Monday, and then near 100 through Friday.

The Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction!
