Tropical Depression Helene.

Helene has weakened to a Tropical Depression. As of 9 AM MDT, the center of the depression was located 15 miles south-southwest of Tampico, Mexico, and was moving to the northwest at 9 mph. Sustained winds were down to 35 mph, with a central pressure of 29.77 inches of mercury, or 1008 millibars. It appears that the depression will stay over land and dissipate. However, the GFS computer model forecasts the strong storm to turn back to the north and re-emerge out over the Gulf of Mexico, and re-strengthen as it moves northward.
