Needle Grass & Snow Drought.

Last Sunday my wife and I took a drive up to the Sacramento mountains. Halfway between Artesia and Hope we encountered a stretch where the needle grass has been blowing across U.S. Hwy 285. Really this nasty stuff has been pretty tame so far compared to previous years. 

A snow drought continues across the Sac's as evident by the bottom photo shot just east of Cloudcroft.
